The normal alpaca plasma produced by Duck Springs, LLC comes from healthy adult male alpacas. The herd is BVD-PI free and is vaccinated with killed West Nile, killed rabies, J-5 E. coli bacterin, killed bovine rota-coronavirus, bovine rhinotracheitis, bovine diarrhea, parainfluenza 3, respiratory syncytial virus, clostridium A, clostridium chauvoei, septicum, haemolyticum, novyi,sordellii, tetani, perfringens C and D bacterin toxoid,and killed leptospira canicola, grippotyphosa, hardjo, icterohaemorrhagiae, pomona bacterin.
Plasma Administration
Plasma can be administered intravenously (very slowly) or intraperitoneally. Consult your veterinarian before administering plasma to make sure it is administered correctly.
